IX Shells

Itzel Yard, also known as IX Shells, is a new media artist based in Panama who specializes in generative art. She began working with code through an early passion for video games and music. Yard studied Architectural Technology and Computer Science at the University of London. Her work has been featured in exhibitions worldwide including In Our Code, Digital Diaspora, Natively Digital, The Digital and Proof of Art.

Yard became the highest-selling female generative artist when her piece Dreaming at Dusk sold for over $2 million in support of the Tor Project. Shortly after, she was featured in Fortune’s “NFTy 50” list alongside Beeple, Jay-Z, Mark Cuban and Snowfro. Yard is the founder of Creative Code Art, a widely respected educational group that highlights algorithmic and generative art.
