Huw Messie is a digital artist mixing algorithms and textiles. A 2021 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Art, his practice explores contained worlds and the connection between material and process.
Messie creates his own programs to digitize intricate embroidery patterns for different key frames. Each sewn frame is combined to create intricately detailed animations of a textile world.
Messie has gained significant recognition for high-profile collaborations, redefining how digital art intersects with commercial campaigns while collaborating with companies such as Burberry, Hermès and others.
