alignDRAW is a historic collection showcasing the first images created with a ‘text-to-image’ AI model. Created in 2015, Elman Mansimov lead a group of developers to reverse engineer an image labeling system. The series consists of 36 unique text prompts that created a total of 2709 images. Fellowship worked with Mansimov to bring each of these outputs on-chain as SVG strings, cementing the files on the Ethereum blockchain. This collection stamps a pivotal moment in the timeline of AI art, one of the moments that has paved the way for the extensive models we see today.
alignDRAW - the first text-to-image artwork from 2015.
By early 2015, neural networks had mastered the art of 'image-to-text' and could create natural language captions for images. Flipping this process, and turning text into image, was a much more complex challenge solved by 19-year old prodigy Elman Mansimov's alignDRAW model.
Fellowship is pleased to present a special release of both print editions and fully on-chain NFTs of this historical artwork, containing all the original images created in 2015.
